Commercialising UCC technologies and ideas drives what we do at UCC Innovation

In support of our mission, we work to encourage the disclosure of new inventions from the university research community. The decision to obtain patents and to commercialise the university's intellectual property is made based on our assessment of the commercial opportunity.

Our commercialisation case managers will work closely with you to identify the best route to commercialisation. Once a route has been identified, we work with you to develop and implement a plan to commercialise the research. This may involve further technical development work, protecting patent rights and/or market analysis . The technology transfer process is a well defined stage gate process from research stage through to commercialisation across the university sector nationally and internationally (click here for UCC Innovation approach).
