Student Societies

Student Societies are here for you to get involved with like-minded people and share your hobbies! There are over 100 educational, charitable, political, social and religious societies to choose from. From Amnesty to WARPS, and WiStem to AIESEC, there truly is ‘something for everyone’, so get involved and spark new interests! For more info visit the Societies website. While their offices are located on the First Floor of the Hub, societies host their events in a variety of locations across campus.

Student Clubs

Student clubs are where to go if you want to try out for one of our many sports teams, or maybe even try out a new sport, with everything from Aikido to Ultimate Frisbee to choose from. In fact we have 56 different clubs to choose from! To find out more visit the Clubs website. While the Clubs office is located on the First Floor of the Hub, many Clubs mainly train & play at the Mardyke Sports Grounds which includes outdoor facilities and the Mardyke Arena, and at the Curraheen Road Sports Grounds, commonly known as ‘The Farm’.

The Clubs Executive Committee represents 56 UCC Clubs, working in partnership with the Department of Sport and Physical Activity. Together they work to promote positive health & well-being, leadership, and social participation. Students who require any specific support from the Department of Sport and Physical Activity can visit their offices at Ferry Lodge, Mardyke Walk.

Campus Radio

UCC 98.3fm is our award-winning campus radio station, and it’s the only 24/7 college radio station in the country! Its state-of-the-art studios are located on the Ground Floor of the Hub, with shows being broadcast live all day. For more information on UCC campus radio visit their website. 

University Express

The University Express is our official campus newspaper. They publish hard-hitting news, light-hearted features, up-to-date sports and more daily on their website, and every two weeks they put out a physical newspaper, delivered across campus. Motley Magazine

Motley Magazine is a monthly magazine that focuses on the arts, entertainment & current affairs. Their full-length glossy magazine comes out once a month, and they post regular features on their website, Motley.ie.
