School of Engineering Postgraduate Publication of the Year Award
The winner of the School of Engineering postgraduate publication of the year award for the best peer-reviewed academic paper published in 2018 is Colm Gallagher.
Colm is a final year PhD student in Energy Engineering, and is supervised by Dr Dominic O’Sullivan. The title of his award winning paper is “Development and application of a machine learning supported methodology for measurement and verification (M&V 2.0)” which appeared in the Elsevier journal, Energy and Buildings. Colm received a prize of €500 from the Head of the School of Engineering, Professor Liam Marnane. The runners up in this competition were Adrian O’Sullivan and Oksana Semenova, who are both Electrical Engineering PhD students supervised by Dr Gordon Lightbody. They each received a prize of €200.
