New Civil Engineering Lecturer in School of Engineering

We would like to welcome Dr David Wall who has taken up his post in the School of Engineering as a lecturer in Transportation. He was a previous Teagasc Walsh Fellow and completed his PhD in Energy Engineering on the concept of biomethane production from grass silage in 2015.

 

 

Prior to this, Dr Wall attained an MSc in Biosystems Engineering from Michigan State University, USA (2010) and his BE from University College Dublin (2008). For the last 3 years he was a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in the MaREI Centre and has lectured for the Energy and Transportation and Traffic and Highways modules in UCC. Dr Wall has past industry experience including the role of Process Engineer and Lead Process Scientist for an R&D plant in the UK, and has also worked on a number of consultancy projects with SEAI and the IEA.

 

Dr Wall's research interests include transportation, agriculture, bioenergy and future fuels. He has published 25 peer reviewed journal papers on the topics of bioenergy and renewable gas.
