Samantha Ingham wins two awards at JOGS 2023 Reimagined
Congratulations to Samantha Ingham, final year medical student at UCC, who won two awards for her work at the reimagined Junior Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society (JOGS) Annual Scientific Meeting 2023. Samantha was awarded ‘Best Medical Student Presentation’ and ‘Second Runner Up Oral Presentation’ overall.
Her presentation, titled “Gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment within obstetrics and gynaecology training” was based on research she undertook for her final year project, supervised by Professor Keelin O'Donoghue and Dr Sara Leitao.
The JOGS Annual Scientific Meeting was held virtually on 23 February 2024, with awards announced at the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Spring Conference held at No. 6 Kildare Street on 01 March.
