Audit reports
This section contains reports of audits completed by members of Pregnancy Loss Research Group (PLRG) at Cork University Maternity Hospital.
Clinical audit is a clinically led review of care against explicit standards or guidelines. It can examine how a service is organised, what care is delivered, or clinical outcomes. The Patient Safety Act 2023 explicitly recognises self-evaluation and measurement against evidence-based standards as ways audit contributes to safer, better care. Under the Act, audits should be published as aggregated information and used to improve patient safety and healthcare quality.
