World Antimicrobial Awareness Week 2023

The School of Pharmacy ‘went Blue’ and hosted a healthy coffee morning to promote World Antimicrobial Awareness Week 2023 and raise awareness of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). 

Highlights of the School of Pharmacy staff and students' research in the area of Antimicrobials, AMR and AMS combined with ‘exciting’ prizes, provided the backdrop to a very enjoyable and educational coffee break.

World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) aims to increase awareness of global antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and to encourage best practices among the general public, health workers and policy makers to avoid the further emergence and spread of drug-resistant infections.
