We were delighted to welcome Ms Orla Duane from Diabetes Ireland to the School of Pharmacy on 21st Sept to speak to our MPharm students about living with diabetes.

The students enjoyed and learned so much from Orla. The session highlighted the importance of the pharmacist's role in diabetes, and patient representation and PPI in our pharmacy programme. Sincere thanks to Orla and Diabetes Ireland.
The session also included a practical training session on the use of blood glucometers for diabetes with Dr Devine and group work on the management of diabetes patient cases with Dr Fleming.
