UCC MPharm student participates in Sláintecare webinar
The Department of Health recently hosted a Sláintecare webinar on Right Care, Right Place, Right Time - Supporting our workforce to deliver Enhanced Community Care. The webinar highlighted the important role of healthcare professionals in preventing and managing chronic disease and recent advances in chronic disease care nationally.
School of Pharmacy MPharm student Ms Fionnuala Hoctor took part in the webinar and outlined her learning experiences during the MPharm programme based on the HSE National Undergraduate Curriculum for Chronic Disease Prevention and Management. Fionnuala then explained how she has used the skills developed in her undergraduate studies to provide self-management support to people with chronic disease while she was on placement in a community pharmacy.
