The School of Pharmacy to Host COLOTAN Symposium 2024 on 10 January 2024

The School of Pharmacy is delighted to host the upcoming COLOTAN Symposium, Targeted Drug Delivery in the Gastrointestinal Tract: Current Status, Emerging Techniques and Blue Sky Thinking on Wednesday January 10th 2024 in the Pharmacy Building, UCC with a range of different speakers from industry and academia.

There will be three distinct sessions followed by a round table discussion at the end of each session:

  1. Targeted Drug Delivery in the GIT – Current State of the Art – Speakers: Prof Per Artursson (Uppsala University) and Dr Vincent Jannin (Lonza Capsules and Health Ingredients)
  2. Emergent Platforms in regional drug delivery – Speakers: Prof Hanne Mørck Nielsen, Prof. Dr. Georgios Imanidis (FHNW University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland), Prof Amin Rostami‑Hodjegan (University of Manchester) and Prof Alexandra Taleki (Uppsala University).
  3. Targeted Drug Delivery in the GIT – Novel targets and therapeutics in gastrointestinal disease – Speakers: Prof John Cryan and Prof Subrata Ghosh (University College Cork & APC Microbiome Ireland)
