The School of Pharmacy represented at CoMH Learning and Teaching Showcase 2022

The College of Medicine and Health Learning and Teaching Showcase 2022 was held in Brookfield Health Sciences Complex on Friday 17th June. It was the first time the event had been held since 2019. Staff from the School of Pharmacy presented Learning and Teaching research at the event.

Dr Sonja Vucen delivered a presentation on the School of Pharmacy’s Enterprise-led partnership in developing the Micro-Credential CPD (Bio)Pharma courses. Dr Aoife Fleming, with Ms Rena Young (School of Medicine), presented on The College of Medicine and Health/Health Service Executive Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice in Healthcare Initiative.  Dr Evin Allen presented on The iEd Hub- an educational consortium the Health and Life Sciences sector.

Several staff in the School of Pharmacy participated in the poster presentation session. Research presented in this session included the results of a survey of pharmacy students’ views of technology enhanced learning; pharmacy students’ experiences of online, recorded OSCE assessments; a review of frameworks for antimicrobial resistance and stewardship education; and an evaluation of antimicrobial stewardship education in the School.
