School of Pharmacy Students Gain Valuable Experience at Mater Private Hospital

The Pharmacy Department at the Mater Private Hospital Cork welcomed two BPharm3 students, Maeve Carroll and Enya Holt, for a one-day visit on 6 February 2025.

Maeve and Enya spent the day with Chief Pharmacist Fergus Nugent and the staff of the Pharmacy learning about the pharmacy service, the electronic health records system, and the vital role of the pharmacist in medication reconciliation and medication incident reporting. 

Sincere thanks to the Mater hospital and Fergus for supporting this visit as part of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Mater Private Hospital and the School of Pharmacy.
