The award received is made out of recycled materials, which aligns nicely with the HSRPP Conference 2024 theme of ‘Sustainable Development in Healthcare’ and UCC’s commitment to sustainability.
It was highlighted to attendees at the Conference Ambassador Award Ceremony about the significant economic benefits that hosting a conference brings to the city of Cork, with the Cork Convention Bureau estimating the value of the HSRPP 2024 Conference at over €126,000. More importantly though, these conferences undoubtedly generate other long-lasting impacts through the advancement and sharing of knowledge and innovation, supporting the development of students and professionals at all career stages, as well as building and strengthening connections for years to come.
The HSRPP Conference 2024 attracted 115 national and international delegates from over 15 countries across a range of disciplines, bringing together leading experts in the areas of health services and pharmacy research, as well as pharmacy practice and education. Conference proceedings were shared widely via social media, with #HSRPP2024 as the 5th highest trending hashtag on X in Ireland at one point during the conference.
Further details about the conference sessions and research prize winners were outlined in a previous news item summary, with all the conference’s research abstracts published in the International Journal of Pharmacy Practice.
