Professor Caitriona O'Driscoll appointed to Expert Taskforce on expansion of pharmacist roles

Professor Caitriona O'Driscoll, Chair of Pharmaceutics in the School of Pharmacy, has been appointed to the Expert Taskforce to Support the Expansion of the Role of Pharmacy.

The Taskforce, which was established by Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly, will examine how pharmacists can be better used in the healthcare system.

As a member of the Taskforce, she will bring her 20+ year commitment to pharmacy education and practice to help develop recommendations on how pharmacists can be better used in the healthcare system. This includes prescribing medicines, providing vaccinations and other preventive care, and managing chronic diseases.
