Prof Stephen Byrne appointed Registrar and Deputy President
In November 2020 the School of Pharmacy congratulated Professor Stephen Byrne who took up the role of Interim Registrar. Once again the School of Pharmacy would like to congratulate him on his recent appointment as Registrar and Deputy President and wish him so much success in his role.
He joined the School of Pharmacy in 2004 and became Head of School and Chair of Clinical Pharmacy Practice in 2013. He brought such dedication, enthusiasm and vision, as well as a great sense of humour to the School. In his role as Head some of the highlights include helping us to successfully navigate to the launch of the five year MPharm programme, sign an international co-operation agreement with our now partner at Future University, Egypt, while at the same time participating in a number of EU research grants, supervising many PhD students and guiding and supporting staff and students within the School.
We thank him, and wish him well, and look forward to many future interactions with him in his role as Registrar and Deputy President.
