PhD researcher Ayat Elgammal wins EuPFI prize for poster presentation on paediatric antibiotic formulations
On Thursday, 21st September, Ayat Elgammal won the PCCA prize for the best poster presenter at the 15th conference of the European Paediatric Formulation Initiative (EuPFI) in Glasgow, UK.
Ayat's PhD work involves identifying the attributes that aid the acceptability of paediatric oral formulations, in particular antibiotic formulations.
I am truly honoured to receive this award, and it motivates me to continue my research journey with even greater enthusiasm, I believe this is a really important project because as a pharmacist and as a parent, I have experienced the problem of children’s adherence with oral liquid antibiotics firsthand.
