National Curriculum for Chronic Disease Education in Focus at Learning & Teaching Seminar

The College of Medicine Health Learning and Teaching Seminar January 2026 was delivered by Dr Margaret Bermingham, School of Pharmacy and Anna O’Leary, School of Nursing and Midwifery.
Margaret and Anna are members of the National Collaborative Group (NCG) supporting the implementation of the National Undergraduate Curriculum for Chronic Disease Prevention & Management. Their seminar highlighted the evidence-based development of the curriculum, the wealth of learning and teaching materials available to colleagues who are integrating the curriculum into their programmes, and ongoing national research on the curriculum conducted by the NCG and supported by the Health Service Executive.
