Awards Success for School of Pharmacy Researchers at the College of Medicine & Health Annual Research Conference

The College of Medicine and Health (CoMH) hosted its annual research conference on Wednesday, 3rd September, in the Western Gateway Building.

This year’s conference brought together researchers, clinicians, and healthcare leaders to explore the theme 'Academic Health Sciences System', highlighting the transformative potential of academic and health service collaboration in delivering innovation and excellence in healthcare.

Congratulations to Fatma El-Komy on winning the prize for Best Student Poster titled: “Healthcare Professionals’ Perspective on Medication Adherence Post-Myocardial Infarction: A Qualitative Study.”

Fatma’s PhD is in the area of enabling solutions to enhance medication adherence post-myocardial infarction and she is supervised by Prof. Laura J. Sahm, Dr. Margaret Bermingham, Dr. Michelle O’Driscoll and Prof. Stephen Byrne.

Congratulations to Dr Aoife Fleming on winning the Latest Advances prize for best staff presentation for 

"A mixed methods study exploring general dental practitioner's views and experiences of antimicrobial suse and stewardship in Ireland."

This is a collaboration between the School of Pharmacy, Cork Dental School and Hospital and Health Service Executive.
