All Ireland Interprofessional Education Challenge (AIPEC) Takes Top Honours at 2025 Irish Education Awards

AIPEC, the All Ireland Interprofessional Healthcare Challenge for Students, won across two categories at the recent Irish Education Awards in Dublin. AIPEC won the Best Collaboration Project category, and was awarded the prize for Overall Excellence at the awards.
Dr Aoife Fleming, Senior Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy and Vice Head for Interprofessional Learning, College of Medicine and Health noted:
As the UCC AIPEC lead, I am delighted that our collaboration between eight Universities across the island has been recognised. AIPEC brings students together from various health and social care disciplines and gives them an opportunity to collaborate on a patient management plan. It is an excellent platform to prepare students for future interprofessional collaboration and students develop their teamwork and communication skills. This year has been a special year for AIPEC in UCC with our UCC team winning the overall final and I hope to see the initiative go from strength to strength in the future.
