Clonmel Healthcare Donation Strengthens Dispensing Training for School of Pharmacy Students
We were delighted to welcome John Donnelly and Brian Hogan from Clonmel Healthcare to the School of Pharmacy this week, to acknowledge their support of our dispensing labs through the provision of dispensing stock.
Our third year students spend invaluable time working in our dispensing labs each week as part of module PF3011 Professional Practice III co-ordinated by Dr Michelle O’Driscoll. Here they develop skills in legal, safe and accurate dispensing to patients. Our dispensing bays are fully stocked with a wide range of medications, and students have access to dispensing systems McLernons and Touchstore.
We continually strive to keep this stock up-to-date and relevant to current clinical practice. This year Clonmel Healthcare in collaboration with Mr Keith O’Hourihane from Pharmacy First Plus very kindly donated a significant amount of Clonmel products to our inventory, improving the scope of our teaching and enriching the learning experience of our students. We’re very grateful for their ongoing support of pharmacist education.
