Professor honoured for engineering excellence
Professor Nabeel Riza, Head of UCC’s School of Engineering, has received an Honorary Fellow Award from Engineers Ireland.
The Highest Membership Distinction of the Engineers Ireland Society, awarded by presidential invitation only, recognises true leaders of the engineering profession who are highly skilled, contribute to the future of engineering and promote excellence.
Other inductees of the 2015 Honorary Fellow Award include VP of Intel’s Technology and Manufacturing Group, Dr Ann Kelleher (PhD UCC), EMEIA CTO at Fujitsu (Japan), Dr Joseph Reger and Managing Director of ESB Networks (Ireland), Marguerite Sayers (BE UCC).
Professor Riza commented that he was “deeply honoured to be amongst this select group of distinguished international engineering leaders, and receiving my first Honorary Award from the Engineers Ireland Society makes it all the more special.”
