KT Boost: Empowering Innovation at UCC
UCC Innovation is funded by the KT Boost Programme, a four-year, €33.4M knowledge transfer funding programme for Irish universities, co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the European Regional Development Funds, ERDF Southern, Eastern & Midland Regional Programme 2021-27 and ERDF Northern & Western Regional Programme 2021-27. KT Boost is managed by Knowledge Transfer Ireland (KTI), on behalf of Enterprise Ireland and the ERDF.
KT Boost aims to supercharge research commercialization across universities and technological institutions, fostering a culture of consistent and effective knowledge transfer practices. This initiative aligns with UCC’s objective and ambition to enhance research and innovation capacities and accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies.
UCC received funding of €4.6M through KT Boost to support and provide resources to further support knowledge transfer activities, and commercialisation performance and outputs in the university. This funding will enhance our capacity to support knowledge and technology transfer, nurture new ventures, and drive impactful outcomes within the sector. We're committed to enhancing operational quality and setting new standards in knowledge transfer excellence.
