In 2024, funding was allocated to a work package under the broader id+ Project aimed at embedding adoption and implementation of Universal Design and Inclusive Assessment in a whole-of-institution approach. This project is the Inclusive Assessment Project.
Having appointed Inclusion Facilitators in each of the four colleges, the Inclusive Assessment Project aims include:
-
Mapping all of first year undergraduate assessment
-
Gathering insights on current practices, successes, challenges and considerations on inclusive assessment from staff and students
-
Leading discussions on best practice in inclusive assessment within the four colleges and university-wide
-
Delivering workshops to disseminate findings, invite input and ultimately develop resources to support inclusive assessment in UCC.
