High Potential Start Up Spin Out companies at GATEWAY UCC
Minister Nash, Deputy Ciaran Lynch with GATEWAY Manager Myriam Cronin, Prof Anita Maguire and a group of GATEWAY UCC High Potential Start Up Spin Out companies at GATEWAY UCC on the 6th of February.
During the visit the Minister met with a number of GATEWAY UCC High Potential Start-Up Spin-Out companies and discussed with them the challenges and issues which effect HPSU University Spin-Outs. Minister Nash was particularly interested in what supports could help accelerate the growth of Campus based Spin-Out companies. GATEWAY UCC is currently home to 20 start up companies and has supported companies that have created 150 jobs to date. These companies in many cases are commercialising the research that have been undertaken by the vibrant Research Community across the University.
