Established in 1991, the Cleaner Production Promotion Unit (CPPU) is a research group based within the School of Engineering, University College Cork. CPPU comprises a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and social scientists. The group conduct research on the sustainability of socio-technical systems (e.g., built environment, energy); sustainable consumption; governance for sustainability; and the broader human aspects of sustainable development.
