27 Mar 2026

Our School was delighted and honoured to have Laura Vesey, final year Occupational Therapy student, representing the College of Medicine Health and UCC, together with a multidisciplinary team at AIPEC- All Ireland Interprofessional Healthcare Challenge finals

The AIPEC event provided participants with a valuable opportunity to engage with peers from a wide range of healthcare backgrounds and learn about working collectively and how to prioritise patient goals  to deliver the best possible outcomes.

The School extends particular recognition to the other team members—Katie O’Loughlin, Akshaya Indrakumar, Tomás Cronin, Sorcha Cronin, Gabriel Orhadje, and Samantha Mhlanga—for their dedication, teamwork, and enthusiasm throughout both the local and national stages of the competition.

We also acknowledge the invaluable support of Aoife Fleming, Vice Head for Interprofessional Learning, College of Medicine & Health UCC, who supported and guided the team to the finals.

The School is extremely proud of the team’s achievements and of the exemplary manner in which they represented Occupational Therapy, the School, and the College of Medicine and Health at AIPEC 2026. Their performance stands as a testament to the strength of our programmes and the calibre of our students.
