UCC Among Finalists for Diversity and Inclusion Award

The UCC IT Inclusivity Committee have been nominated and shortlisted for the Diversity and Inclusion category in the UCISA 2024 Awards. The Diversity and Inclusion Award seeks to recognise institutions, from across Ireland and the UK, that can demonstrate a holistic and long-term commitment to diversity and inclusion within their university or college. The awards take place on 14th March in Edinburgh, you can learn more about the awards and the other nominees here.

 

 

Who are the UCC IT Inclusivity Committee?

The IT Inclusivity Committee formed in 2022 and has the responsibility for developing IT Services EDI strategy and for developing and enhancing IT Services relationships with key partners across UCC to help support EDI practises. The Committee have worked closely with Rosie Coffey in IT Services, the School of Applied Social Studies, Safe Ireland and Cyber Ireland on the soon to be launched Digital Badge on Recognising Technology Facilitated Abuse.  The IT Inclusivity Committee members are: Claire Crowley, Noelette Hurley, Kilian Murphy, Ruth Butler and Myles Corcoran.  To learn more about the work of the Committee, watch the video shared above or view it here.

Who are UCISA?

UCISA (Universities and Colleges Information Systems Association) is a member-led professional body for digital practitioners in education, from across the UK and Europe.
