Continuing Steps into Management

**Call for Applications Now Open**

This programme seeks to build upon the ‘First Steps into Management’ programme which was introduced in UCC in 2017. It is intended that the ‘Continuing Steps into Management’ programme will bridge a gap for staff between the ‘First Steps’ programme and our more advanced Leadership programmes.

Not only will the target audience include graduates of the ‘First Steps’ programme, but also staff who are currently or who aspire to be team leaders and managers. To benefit fully from this programme, we recommend that you have completed the MBTI questionnaire and feedback process or are open to undertaking this in advance of the programme commencing.

All the modules will take place face to face and will be highly participatory including small group discussions, completion of self-assessments, reflective journaling and scenario-based activities.

Four main topics will be covered:

  1. UCC Values & Culture
  2. Dealing Effectively with Change & Conflict
  3. Team Ownership / Individual Responsibility / Accountability
  4. Clear Communications
