A postdoctoral fellowship is available in the Cell Biology Laboratory to work on the actions of the newly described co-stimulatory TIM-1 (T Cell Ig Mucin) molecule. This collaborative project is based on initial studies carried out at the Transplantation Research Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital, Boston and is aimed at understanding the signalling responses elicited by TIM-1 in T cell subsets as well as its role in experimental allograft rejection. The project will be based in the Cell Biology Laboratory in the UCC BioScience Institute. (http://www.ucc.ie/ucc/depts/biochemistry/staff/roc.html)
