24 October - Special UCC Jean Monnet Lecture: 'Brexit - A Belfast Perspective'

Lord Mayor of Belfast Councillor John Finucane

Department of Government and Politics

4pm, Thursday 24 October
UCC's Centre for Executive Education
1 Lapp's Quay
Cork City

As the UK and the EU agree an exit deal, some of the basis for contact and cooperation between Ireland and the UK is removed. In this context, it is important that we confront what Brexit means, not just for Ireland as a whole, but for its city-regions and their links with all parts of the island. The Lord Mayor of Belfast’s engagement with the UCC Jean Monnet Lecture Series provides a public space for considering the complex challenges and potential opportunities which Brexit poses for Ireland and its city-regions, North and South.
