Alumni Tours

Alumni Reunion Tours

Alumni Reunion Tours have been undertaken at UCC for more than a decade. The tours take approximately 75 minutes and are led by the Head of the Visitor Services. The bulk of these tours take place at weekends and reunions can vary from 10 to 100 people. The tour generally takes place either after a lunch or before a dinner in the Aula Maxima.

The administration of the tours is run by the Alumni and Development Office and the tours are built into the programme for the day’s events. Tours are normally delivered to classes of 10,20, 30 and 40 year reunions.

Many tours take the form of a graduate year e.g. Arts 1978 but often the reunions are specific to degree programme Commerce, Medicine etc. These tours focus not just on the history of the university but also on many of the changes that have occurred on campus since the graduates left university. Therefore, all of these tours tend to visit areas that did not exist during their time on campus.

The tour also highlights the university's commitment to sustainability, research and community engagement and stress the importance of philanthropy and its role in supporting the university’s strategic ambitions.

The tours are universally received and the Alumni and Development office have received much feedback about their delivery and quality. Bookable as part of a reunion booked through the Alumni and Development Office. All reunion bookings are booked in this manner.
