Abstract

In this paper, a Bereavement Care Education Curriculum is proposed that is aimed at increasing the knowledge and skills of both clinical, non-clinical staff and students who support bereaved parents and their families following pregnancy loss or perinatal death in Irish maternity care services. In doing so it aims to help to improve the experiences of grieving families within our maternity health care environments.
