Congratulations to PLRG members on best poster award at JOGS 2025

Members of the PLRG participated in the Junior Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society (JOGS) Annual Scientific Meeting 2025, held on 28 November in Dublin. 

Congratulations to Dr Sophie Boyd on leading the award-winning poster “Post early medical abortion complications in secondary care: a retrospective four-year review of one unit’s experience” which was ably presented by Dr Anthony Sheppard on behalf of the study team.

Many thanks to the JOGS Committee, and all involved, for organising this very successful event.

The Junior Obsterics and Gynaecology Society was founded in 1988 to represent the interests of trainees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Ireland and to provide a forum for discourse and research. It provides representation to the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the European Network of Trainees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The Society runs meetings and events throughout the year aimed at all Non-Consultant Doctors in the specialty. ​Each November it holds a national conference in conjunction with the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists to showcase Irish research in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
