Welcome from the Head of School
On behalf of my colleagues within the School of Pharmacy, University College Cork, I would like to welcome you to our website.
The School of Pharmacy was officially opened in 2003 and as one of the newer Schools within the College of Medicine and Health (UCC), we are fortunate to be located in the purpose-built Cavanagh School of Pharmacy which boasts state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities for students and staff alike.
Pharmacy is both the science and the ability to prepare and dispense medicines. Pharmacists are health professionals who incorporate health sciences with chemical/pharmaceutical sciences with the ultimate goal of delivering safe and effective medicines to patients.
