UCC alum dazzle in Silicon Valley

Six University College Cork alum won top awards at the Irish Technology Leadership Awards (ITLG) in San Francisco at the weekend. 

The winners included Rory McInerney, Corporate Vice President of Intel; Ruth Cotter, Senior Vice President Human Resources, Corporate Communications & Investor Relations at AMD; Barry O’Sullivan, CEO at Alto Cloud; Ann Kelleher, Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Intel; Margaret Burgraff, Vice President of Intel Corporation and Eddie O’Brien, Global Channel Chief of Dropbox.

The ITLG is a network of technology leaders committed to promoting the technology connection between Ireland and Silicon Valley and helping Ireland to develop new technology opportunities. They do this by creating peer to peer networking forums where their members discuss and collaborate with international 'Thought Leaders' on all things technology and innovation.

UCC President, Professor Patrick O’Shea was a keynote speaker at the event on the topic of talent and education. The event was held in Stanford University, and the Tánaiste, Frances Fitzgerald represented the Irish government at the event.
