An exhibition showcasing work produced by teenagers living in direct provision centres in Cork will be unveiled at The Glucksman tomorrow (February 18).

Navigating the Urban Landscape, an exhibition of their work comprising digital and film photography, drawings and a short film, will be officially opened by DJ and producer Stevie G and rapper Young Phantom at 12:30, and all are welcome to attend.

The group participated in a series of creative workshops over six weeks at The Glucksman, under the guidance of artists Roseanne Lynch, Cassandra Eustace, Dervla Baker and Curator of Education, Tadhg Crowley, in Autumn 2016.

With the support of the artists and UCC students and staff who volunteered their time each Saturday, the group used photography, drawing and film to explore the UCC campus and beyond, plotting and mapping routes and creatively documenting their interactions and experiences.

Supported by the Arts Council of Ireland through its Young Ensembles Scheme, the exhibition — free and open to the public — will run until February 26, in the Glucksman foyer.
