Students to benefit as UCC awarded funding
Job seekers, recent graduates and those looking to upskill could have up to 100% of their course fees paid under funding received by University College Cork. UCC has been awarded funding of €1.8million which will provide the opportunity for 241 students to engage in postgraduate studies.
Successful applicants will receive funding for 90% to 100% of their course fees. Funding is available to participants who fall into the following categories: returners, employed, former self employed and recent graduates.
Programmes have been identified to respond to skills shortages in a broad range of industry sectors e.g. Youth Work, Social Policy, Coaching, Nursing, Public Health and a broad range of Executive Education programmes. A full list of programmes is available at www.ucc.ie/skills.
UCC was awarded the funding by the Irish Government under the Government's Jobs Stimulus package to help get people back to work and upskill workers.

A significant portion of the funding which was allocated to UCC provides opportunities for students to engage in Executive Education. Places will be offered on a suite of IMI Professional Diploma programmes starting later this year and in early 2021, delivered virtually and at the National Management Centre in Sandyford Dublin and the UCC Centre for Executive Education in Lapps Quay, Cork. IMI are specialists in leadership performance and have been empowering world-class executives for over sixty years.
