Our President, Patrick O'Shea, sends best wishes to all of you celebrating St Patrick's Day in Ireland and abroad - Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig daoibh go léir! 

Enjoy a tour of University College Cork and the city of Cork with Professor O'Shea.

And to get you into the mood for the St Patrick's weekend enjoy the excellent Irish Dancing viral hit video 'Freedom'. It was filmed on campus and features dancers Kieran Hardiman, Alan Kenefick and Ciaran Plummer. 

UCC alum, Doireann Ní Ghríofa, writes about building a 'city of hope' in her poem An Architecture of Cork City in the following video which was commissioned when Cork was designated one of eight 'ideal' EU cities for culture last year.
