Dr. Akbar Majidi
Akbar Majidi is currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher with the CONNECT Centre/MISL lab in the School of Computer Science and Information Technology, University College Cork, Ireland. He received his B.S. and a M.S. degree in Computer Engineering in 2009 and 2013 respectively, and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 2020 from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China.
His research interests include omnidirectional video streaming, data center networks, SDN/NFV, and machine learning system, to contribute to congestion control. He has published more than 15 papers in respective areas in high ranked journals and conferences, such as IEEE TRANSACTION ON VEHICULAR TECHNOLOGY, Computer Communications (Elsevier), Journal of Network and Computer Applications (Elsevier), IEEE Access journal, International Conference on Parallel Processing (ICPP), IEEE International Conference on Network Protocols (ICNP), IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM), IEEE Conference on Local Computer Networks (LCN), IEEE International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Systems (ICPADS), International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (PIMRC), International Conference on Ubiquitous Information Management and Communication (IMCOM), etc.
