I completed my undergraduate degree from National University of Science and Technology Pakistan in the field of Computer Science and Engineering in 2011. After having worked as a Network Operations Engineer for Nayatel (Internet Service Provider) in Pakistan for almost 8 months, I went on to South Korea where I received my Master’s degree in Computer Science from POSTECH in 2015.

In 2019, I successfully completed my Ph.D. in MISL, School of Computer Science and Information Technology, University College Cork, Ireland and graduated in June 2020. I engaged in the SFI iVID project under the supervision of Prof. Cormac Sreenan. iVID was a 4-year research project funded by Science Foundation Ireland and under this project I conducted my research about the use of software defined networking (SDN) techniques to optimize the delivery of streaming video.
