Irene O'Callaghan awarded an Early Stage Researcher Bursary from An Fóram Uisce!

MESA PhD candidate Irene O'Callaghan has been awarded an Early Stage Researcher Bursary from An Fóram Uisce (The Water Forum) in order to deliver policy recommendations on the topic of legacy contamination of freshwater sediments and the impacts on catchment and drinking water protection.

An Fóram Uisce is a statutory body that facilitates democratic input from numerous stakeholders into Irish policy concerning water and water-related issues. The Fóram also supports education surrounding water resource issues and promotes stakeholder consensus around freshwater conservation.

The project is supervised by MESA Principal Investigator, Timothy Sullivan.
