We are delighted to announce that the Academic GP Ireland Conference 2026 will take place on June 5th–6th at University College Cork, hosted by the Department of General Practice, in collaboration with Academic General Practice Ireland and the Irish College of GPs
Registration is now open!
Keynote Speakers include:
• Professor Dame Louise Robinson, GP and Professor of Primary Care and Ageing; Regius Professor of Ageing, Newcastle University
• Dr Margaret McCartney, GP and Director of the Centre for Evidence and Values in Healthcare, St Andrew’s University
• Professor Robert Scully, GP and Professor of Rural and Remote Medicine, University of Galway
• Dr Padraic McCarthy, GP and Irish College of GPs Curriculum Fellow

Bursaries will be available to support travel/conference attendance for presenters who have had a conference abstract accepted (to include practice nurses, trainees, medical students and full-time PhD students. Application details will be provided after abstract submission has closed.
