The research programme was well represented at the 2026 Academic General Practice Ireland / Irish College of General Practitioners ASM in UCC and the 2026 Society of Academic Primary Care ASM in St Andrews (Scotland), featuring several insightful presentations.

Steven Gilmore presented findings on two recently published studies that were part of the research programme:

• "Prescribing cascades, associated patient characteristics, and health-care utilisation in older community-dwelling adults in Ireland: a retrospective, observational cohort study"

• "Fall-risk increasing drug use in older community-dwelling adults: prevalence, association with fall-related admissions, and post-discharge prescribing changes: a retrospective cohort study"
