Future Humanities Featured Activities 2024 -2025

We are delighted to launch a sample of featured research and activities across the Future Humanities Institute in the academic year 2024 - 2025. The arts and humanities perform a key leadership role within the research ecology at UCC. We have long been at the forefront of interdisciplinary and innovative research.

In this short publication, we include but a few of the examples of projects that arts and humanities scholars at UCC have undertaken in the last year. One event highlight last year was our visit from artist-scientist Whitefeather Hunter in January, 2024, whose work inside bioscience labs revealed a dynamic, interventionist approach where artistic practice, feminist critique, and scientific assumptions collide fruitfully.
The Radical Humanities Laboratory; our constituent clusters; and our many affiliated researchers are testament to the scope of our vision. May you enjoy exploring this small sampling of their work and achievements from the last period.
