Welcome Note for the B.Ed. in Physical Education, Sports Studies and Arts programme 1st Years

Our B.Ed. in Physical Education, Sports Studies and Arts programme held its first year orientation session on the 2nd September in the Hub, where we had the pleasure of meeting our incoming 2026/27 first year cohort. We used this opportunity to warmly welcome students to UCC, whether they joined us through direct CAO entry, QQI pathways, or as mature students. Our full-time staff met with the cohort, facilitated several icebreaker activities, and highlighted the importance of becoming part of the wider UCC community as they prepare to commence Semester 1 during the week of 14th September. Students can look forward to a diverse and engaging curriculum, including modules in aquatics, dance, gymnastics, exercise physiology, curriculum studies, sport psychology, and digital humanities
