Extension Request Documentation

Please be aware that all requests for assignment extensions for CR modules must be submitted to your module co-ordinator or lecturer. All requests must be submitted on the Extension Request Form. Extensions will not be considered after the assignment due date has passed.
Procedure for Requesting an Assignment Extension
The procedure for requesting assignment extensions is now as follows:
- Contact the lecturer of the module you wish to recieve the extension for advising them that you are seeking an extension.
- Submit an Extension Request Form (availible in the link above) to your lecturer/module co-ordinator along with any relevant documentation attached (signed and dated medical cert etc.)
- You will be informed if your request has been successful and the duration (if any) of the extension.
Please note that without relevant documentation (sick note, death cert etc.) extensions will only be considered in exceptional circumstances.
Finally, please be aware of penalties regarding the late submission of assignments.
Penalties (for late submission of Course/Project Work etc.): Where work is submitted up to and including 7 days late, 5% of the total marks available shall be deducted from the mark achieved.
Where work is submitted up to and including 14 days late, 10% of the total marks available shall be deducted from the mark achieved.
Work submitted 15 days late or more shall be assigned a mark of zero.
