Welcome to the BSc Speech and Language Therapy Programme at UCC

Speech and Language Therapy is a healthcare profession dedicated to enhancing the communication and swallowing abilities of individuals across all age groups. Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) focus on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. They play a crucial role in improving how people communicate and interact socially, emotionally, and psychologically.

SLTs achieve this through personalized therapy, education, and preventative strategies. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will make a significant impact on the quality of life of your clients, helping them to communicate more effectively and confidently.
