Dr. Pauline Frizelle from the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at the School of Clinical Therapies shares her research goals aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of intervention strategies to support children’s language and communication skills.

A new website was launched during International World Stroke Awareness week and the co-design team was also invited to present this work for the Advances in Communication and Swallowing journal’s Autumn webinar on 6^th November.

This unique website highlights the impact of aphasia on people’s lives, Dr Kelly’s UCC Aphasia Home Café, gives hope through video testimonies of people living successfully with aphasia and provides links to resources useful for stroke survivors and their families.

The Staff Recognition Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in the Aula Max. These awards honor both individuals and teams for their exceptional dedication and commitment to university life and the broader community.

Two BSc Speech and Language and two Occupational Therapy students from the School of Clinical Therapies were successful in securing the prestigious Quercus Scholarship this year.
