Our goal at Cancer Research @UCC is to improve cancer outcomes through innovative research programmes spanning the bench to the bedside. Novel cancer diagnostics, therapeutics and other interventions are urgently required in order to innovate in the areas of cancer prevention, early detection, prevention and management of recurrent disease, focusing on a “personalised” approach to cancer care. Our research currently spans the areas of cancer biology (autophagy & cell death), the microbiome, synthetic biology, precision oncology clinical trials and cancer outcomes research.
