Jen Doran is a graduate of UCC, holding a PGDip in Interactive Media. She received both her MBA and BS in Marketing in Dallas, Texas, where she is originally from.

Prior to relocating to Cork in 2021, Jen served as Marketing Project Manager at SMU, a private university in Dallas, Texas, successfully leading cross-functional projects for the fundraising and development departments within the university. Notably, she led the creation of branding and messaging for SMU Ignited, a multiyear $1.5 billion fundraising campaign for impact.​ Previously, Jen was an Account Manager at a public relations firm working with Walt Disney Studios on regional promotional and publicity campaigns in Texas, and as Digital Marketing Coordinator for a magazine, leveraging digital and email campaigns to drive both awareness and sales.​

​Joining UCC Academy in February 2023 as a Communications Project Officer, Jen brings a diverse skill set encompassing content creation, change management, and digital strategy. She worked with IGNITE, serving as interim start-up programme manager for 15 months, managing a variety of operational tasks and engagement within the incubation programme for start-ups founders. Jen has also worked across the university utilising skills in website content creation and database management. Jen currently supports CUBS with website and social media management/content creation and the Office of Corporate and Legal Affairs with operations and administrative supports.
